A tourist has been rescued from the top of uluru after hurting his Achilles climbing the world heritage listed Ayres rock.

The rescue is the fourth of its kind in 12 months.

Parks Australia have urged people to remember the rock climb can be quite taxing on the body and that climbers should be well prepared before taking the journey.
