Darwinites invited to dine with Australian Cricket Captains

A limited number of tables are now available to join members of the Australian cricket team at the Captain’s Gala Dinner, under the stars at the Marrara Cricket Ground on Thursday 9th August from 7pm.

Michael Clarke, Ricky Ponting, Shane Watson, George Bailey, coach Mickey Arthur and other special guests will share an unforgettable evening with cricket fans and enthusiasts. In addition to welcoming the Australian players back to Darwin, the completion of capital works at Marrara Cricket Ground will be celebrated. An auction of exceptional cricket memorabilia will also be held to raise funds for junior cricket in the Northern Territory.

(opposite TIO Stadium, next to the PINT Club)

Dress: Neat casual

Tables to this event are strictly limited with tables of 10 available for $1650 or $165 per ticket (including GST). A small number of tables with two members of the official Australian touring party are also available for sale.

In addition, the Darwin community are also invited to watch two showcase games between Australia and Australia A being held at Marrara Cricket Ground on Sunday 12th and Tuesday 14th August from 10am (gates open at 8am). Entry is via gold coin donation to support NT Junior Cricket and food and drinks will be available.

Children aged 5 to 12 years are invited to meet their Australian cricket heroes at Marrara Cricket Ground on Saturday 11th August from 12.15pm. NT Cricket will be running 'come and try' games, a BBQ and sign on for junior cricket activities.
