Three youths have been arrested after multiple incidents throughout Darwin and the northern suburbs yesterday.
At about 9am, police received reports that a 70-year-old female was approached by three youths in Darwin CBD on Shadforth lane.
Police say one of the youths assaulted the 70 year old woman before fleeing.
A few hours later police responded to a report that three youths approached a vehicle that was parked in the carpark of a school in Karama.
The vehicle was occupied by the female driver and her three children in the back seat.
It is alleged that one of the children entered the vehicle and threatened the driver before stealing the vehicle keys and other personal items. The group then fled the scene on foot.
Strike Force Trident quickly found and arrested the three youths, a 12 year old boy and two 15 year old girls.
Police say investigations indicate that the incidents are linked.
The three offenders remain in police custody, charges are expected to come.
