A terrifying emergency on a flight from Darwin to Cairns yesterday.
Around 30 minutes into the QF1889 flight yesterday morning the plane made a sudden descent – from 30 thousand feet to 10 thousand.
A QANTAS spokesperson saying the pilot received a pressurisation warning shortly after take-off – and the descent was standard.

The flight was turned back to Darwin where it was inspected before returning to the air.
Paramedics were on standby after landing.
