Five people have been arrested in relation to a car theft in Nightcliff, with three allegedly involved a brawl while being taken to custody.
Strike Force Trident Officers were called at around 7:30 yesterday morning (February 4), following reports of a suspicious vehicle in the area.
Three men were arrested a short time later and allegedly began fighting on their way to the Palmerston Watch House.

Authorities say the car was stopped, with police finding a pair of scissors afterwards.
One of the men was later taken to hospital with a hand injury.
Investigations are continuing.
