Jacob Elordi is taking on the end of the world in The Dog Stars, and the first trailer for Ridley Scott’s latest film has just dropped.
Based on Peter Heller’s bestselling novel, the post-apocalyptic thriller follows Hig (Elordi), a former pilot trying to survive after a devastating flu pandemic wipes out most of humanity. Living on an abandoned airfield with a tough ex-Marine (Josh Brolin) and his loyal dog, Hig’s lonely existence changes when he picks up a mysterious radio signal suggesting there may be other survivors.
An All-Star Cast
The trailer showcases stunning aerial shots, explosive action and emotional moments as Hig embarks on a dangerous journey in search of hope.
Alongside Elordi and Brolin, the film stars Margaret Qualley, Guy Pearce, Benedict Wong and Allison Janney, making this one of the year’s strongest ensemble casts.

Australian audiences won’t have to wait too long, with The Dog Stars landing in cinemas on August 28.
