Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding at Madison Square Garden is already going down as the celebrity event of the decade. But comedian Nikki Glaser almost walked away with the most bizarre wedding souvenir of the night, and she was only stopped by Tom Cruise.
Guests at the highly exclusive event were treated to incredible party favours. The newlywed couple handed out black velvet boxes featuring their ‘TT’ initials and luxury gift boxes filled with diamond-encrusted keepsakes. However, Glaser wanted a different kind of memory. During her recent Caesars Palace residency in Las Vegas, the comedian revealed that a strict no-phone policy left her without a single picture of the night.
Desperate for a unique piece of memorabilia, Glaser spotted her chance at the dessert table. Noticing that the Taylor Swift cake topper was already missing, she decided to take the Travis Kelce one. Just as she was about to slip it into her purse,
The comedian joked with “Then I hear Tom Cruise be like, ‘Put me down!’ And I’m like, ‘Oh my god!'”
Aside from her near-theft, Glaser noted that the strict guest list meant many huge celebrities had to attend without their usual teams. She mentioned that stars like Jennifer Lopez looked like “wallflowers” without their assistants or publicists by their side.
