Just when you thought Minecraft couldn't get any better.. They put Pandas in it.
Yep, Pandas are now in Minecraft on Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, Windows 10 Edition, VR, iOS and Android!
Best of all, it's supporting an amazing nonprofit, World Wildlife Fund (WWF) – also known as World Wide Fund for Nature outside of the US. They do an amazing job of helping to protect Pandas around the world.
The work they do with pandas includes researching and monitoring their habitats creating bamboo corridors that help pandas travel to protected areas where they can feed and mate freely, as well as working with communities to help engage them in panda conservation. Learn more about how they help pandas on the official site here!
Here is how they are helping:
For every purchase of the Paws & Claws Skin Pack between December 11, 2018 to December 11, 2021, Microsoft will donate all net proceeds (or 62.5%) of its sales of the Paws and Claws Cosplay Pack to the World Wildlife Fund
(1250 24th St., N.W., Washington, D.C. 20037 (www.worldwildlife.org). and WWF – Word Wide Fund for Nature. Void where prohibited by law. No portion of purchase or gift is tax deductible.)
Minecraft will contribute $100,000.00 to World Wildlife Fund to support their amazing work protecting pandas, their habitats and other vulnerable species once players have placed 10 million bamboo in-game, beginning on December 11th. (Bamboo is only counted in Minecraft versions without “Edition” in the title.) The mission of World Wildlife Fund is protecting the future of nature).
