Northern Territory Police have arrested an 18-year-old female in relation to an unlawful entry in Anula on Monday.
Shortly before 2:30am, the female allegedly entered a residence on Yanyula Drive and started searching through the property, when she woke the residents while attempting to remove items from their bedroom.
The male resident confronted the offender, who made an escape from the property and allegedly attempted to steal their vehicle to get away.
The vehicle stalled and the offender then scaled the fence to flee, while striking the male to the face.
Police were called to the area and started searching for the female. She was later sighted in Kohinoor Street and a cordon was put in place with the Dog Operations Unit called to assist.
Patrol Dog Arnhem and his handler moved in and the female was subsequently arrested without incident.
The 18-year-old was charged with:
- Aggravated robbery
- Aggravated unlawful entry
- Unlawful use of motor vehicle
She was remanded in custody to appear before Darwin Local Court yesterday.
