A major three-day police operation being held across Darwin is looking to target anti-social behaviour on our local buses.
Transit Officers will join Wilson Security, NT Police, Family and Youth Support Officers and Student Engagement Officers from today (October 7) in both Darwin and Palmerston.
They’ll be patrolling known hot spots and problematic routes part of an aim to allow Territorians to feel safe while using public transport.
Minister for Infrastructure Bill Yan says the crackdown is an integral part of improving safety on our bus network.
“Everyone deserves to get to their destination with safety and respect on our public transport network and these operations help achieve that.”
