A Code Yellow has been declared for both the Royal Darwin and Palmerston Hospitals.
The code is typically declared when a hospital is experiencing lack of beds or capacity issues.
Both hospitals will now have a range of measures put in place, to ease pressure and improve patient flow.

NT Health say the hospitals are currently experiencing an increase in the number of patients requiring ongoing acute care.
