Investigations are underway after three critically endangered sawfish were found dead on a Top End beach.
The protected Dwarf Sawfish were found in a net on Dundee Beach, alongside a number of juvenile bull sharks.
The Fisheries Compliance Unit reports the animals were close to a recently used campsite.
Authorities are asking anyone with information to contact them, in particular the occupants of a white Landcruiser and a blue Mazda BT50 reported at the site on the evening of May 7 and the following morning May 8.
Any information or sightings of illegal fishing can be reported to the 24hr FISHWATCH HOTLINE on 1800 891 136.
