Former Police Commissioner Michael Murphy has had his appointment terminated following the fallout from the ‘job for mates’ saga.
The Chief Minister released a statement yesterday afternoon (March 18), announcing the termination of Michael Murphy by the Administrator of the Northern Territory.
Under Mr Murphy’s contract he’s set to receive six months remuneration upon his termination.

“I acknowledge that this has been a challenging time for the hardworking members of our police force, and I sincerely thank them for their continued dedication to serving and protecting Territorians,” Chief Minister Lia Finocchiaro said.
