Four people have been arrested, accused of assaulting police in Alice Springs and Darwin.
Police received reports of a group of men fighting at a shopping centre on Bath Street at 8.40pm on Saturday.
A 42-year-old man allegedly assaulted two officers as they tried to arrest him.
About five people then allegedly threw rocks at police, who used capsicum spray to disperse them.
Two women were arrested and have since been charged over the incident.
One police officer was taken to hospital with minor injuries.
In a separate incident in Darwin, one officer was physically assaulted and another was spat on while they were responding to a disturbance at East Point.
A man was eventually taken into custody over the incident.
Assistant Commissioner Martin Dole says assaults on officers will not be tolerated.
“This sort of behaviour is completely disgusting, unacceptable.”
“Our officers put their safety and lives on the line everyday protecting Territorians.”
