A 32-year-old man has been arrested in Parap after a string of alleged burglaries.
Police were called to a block of units on Salonika Street just before 6am on Friday (September 5), following reports multiple items had been stolen.
It’s alleged the offender then stole a Holden SUV, nearly striking the owner when driving away.
The car was later found in Ludmilla, with the alleged offender apprehended after a short foot chase.
He’s been charged with 17 offences including breach of parole.
One of the offences is related to the failure to display L plates, and another for not having a supervising passenger in the front seat.
He’s set to face court in Darwin today (September 8).
