Two NSW fugitives arrested at Adelaide River

Two men from New South Wales will face an extradition hearing in Darwin today (September 4), after being arrested at Adelaide River.

The men, aged 34 and 36, were apprehended by members of the NT Police Tactical Response Group on Friday and taken into custody.

According to NSW Police the pair had outstanding arrest warrants for robbery in company, participate in criminal group and other serious offences.

“These arrests were the result of excellent work by detectives and specialist units of the NT Police Force working in partnership with our New South Wales counterparts, the Australian Criminal and Intelligence Commission and Joint Organised Crime Task Force,” Detective Acting Senior Sergeant Andrew Kren says.
