Police have arrested two teenagers after allegedly ram raiding two Darwin city businesses in stolen cars.
It’s alleged the offenders stole three cars from homes in Bayview, and another car from a business in Yarrawonga on Sunday.
Police say the group then went on to break into a café, two post offices and a restaurant between 1am to 2:30am Monday in Darwin CBD.
Following the break-ins, it’s alleged the offenders used the stolen cars to ram-raid a bottle shop on Knuckey Street, stealing a large amount of alcohol, then ram-raided a retail store in the same location.
The stolen cars were later seen driving along Tiger Brennan Drive, initiating a police pursuit in Palmerston.
The pursuit led to the arrests of a 15-year-old and 17-year-old, who face 7 charges including 7 counts of damage to property, 7 counts of theft, and 4 counts of driving a motor vehicle without consent.
Strike Force Trident are continuing investigations and are expecting to make further arrests in relation to the crimes.
