Three youths have been apprehended and seven are believed to be on the run after allegedly driving dangerously in a stolen car through Katherine.
Police say the Toyota Hilux was stolen shortly before 2am today (March 25), with around 10 youths spotted hanging out of the car and riding in the tray at high speeds.
Authorities managed to set up a tire deflation device on Katherine Bridge a short time later, which was successful in stopping the vehicle.

Three of the youths were apprehended by police, while around 7 managed to flee the scene.
