Woman involved in crash charged with drug and unlicensed driving
A 33-year-old woman has been charged with drug and unlicensed driving following a crash in the Darwin suburb of Malak.
Police say they were called to a two vehicle crash at around 9.20 yesterday, after the woman, who allegedly ran into the back of another car, failed to provide her details to the other driver.
The 33-year-old was tested for drugs and alcohol and it is alleged she tested positive for amphetamines and methamphetamines.
The woman was arrested and taken to Palmerston Watch House.
Police later identified that the 33-year-old had only held a learner licence, which expired in 2014.
She was also charged with driving without due care and is expected to face the Darwin Local Court next month.
