Build Up Conditions Return

With less than a month left in the wet and cyclone season the weather in the Top End feels more like the start of the build up, with touches of dry season.

The reason for this is westerlies are bringing humid conditions, but there is a lot of dry air aloft, which is more conducive to showers than storms.

The chance of storms is limited to coastal fringes.

In the south, max temperatures of low 30s will persist most of this week before dropping to high 20s on Sunday, as a result of a trough moving through.

In the Western Region Tropical Cyclone Seroja and a tropical low, currently designated as 23U, are not expected to affect the Northern Territory.

No tropical lows or cyclones are forecast to affect the Northern Region for at least the next seven days.
