Five teenagers charged over break-ins and damage in Darwin's northern suburbs
Five teenagers have been charged in relation to a spate of break-in, assaults and damage in Darwin’s northern suburbs.
It is alleged the crimes were committed around Casuarina and Karama between April 21 and 28.
The youth aged between 11 and 14 are facing a total of 50 charges including stealing, engaging in violent conduct, breach of bail and unlawful use of a motor vehicle.
Two teens have been granted conditional bail and are due to face court next month.
The others are due to face court today.
Detective Senior Sergeant Mark Bland says the age of these alleged offenders is incredibly disappointing.
“We will continue to engage with the community to combat youth crime and in this case charges have been laid,” Detective Bland says.
