Higgins: Delay In City Deal Lies With NT Government
Opposition Leader Gary Higgins say delays in Darwin's city deal is because of a lack of action from the Northern Territory Government.
It was previously thought the delay was from the Federal Government, but Mr Higgins says thats not the case.
"I said why isn't this being sorted? And the answer came back that they really have no proposal on the table from the Territory Government. The Territory Government says yes we've signed some sort of memorandum of understanding but there's no detail on what they want from the Federal Government," Mr Higgins said.
Urban Infrastructure and Cities Minister Paul Fletcher is in Darwin today and it's hoped more progress will be made on the agreement.
