Government House Open Day
Her Honour the Honourable Vicki O’Halloran AO, Administrator of the Northern Territory invites the public to experience the historic magic of Government House and its grounds on Friday 28 June 2019 from 3.00 to 6.00 pm.
Government House and its gardens will be open throughout the afternoon alongside a selection of patronage organisations, including RSPCA Darwin, St John Ambulance and Girl Guides.
Throughout the afternoon there will be live music, a sausage sizzle, ice cream and the opportunity to learn more about the historic stories of this Territory icon from the National Trust, the Historical Society and Government House’s team of knowledgeable horticulturists.
RSPCA Darwin will be attending with 20 animals, with the aim of finding forever homes for all during the afternoon.
“As Administrator, I value each opportunity to welcome Territorians and visitors to Government House, and this Friday promises to be an enjoyable experience for the whole family.
“With an ice cream van, live music, face painting and of course the opportunity to explore the beautiful House and gardens this is the perfect way to start the weekend – and the school holidays!” the Administrator said.
