City of Darwin has installed information kiosks in the Mall and at the end of Smith Street, across from the footbridge leading to the Waterfront.

Relevant information is being installed and the kiosks are being trialled for usability and experience.

The free-standing kiosks will to help locals and visitors alike locate cafes, restaurants and shops, explore places of interest and learn about events taking place across the city.

The information kiosks are another element in City of Darwin’s $10M Switching On Darwin project, which has seen the introduction of smart technology across the city to activate the CBD and improve the accessibility and livability of our city.

City of Darwin has partnered with Tourism NT and incorporated Google Maps functionality in the kiosks. Information will be updated on a regular basis.

Testing and commissioning is expected to be complete and the information kiosks ready for use by the end of August.
