Rare $2 Coin’s Value Skyrockets Since The Queen’s Passing

A lot of us right now are checking our stash for these two coins because if you have one, you could be in for a nice payday.

Joel Kandiah who is one of Australia’s leading coin experts posted a video on his TikTok account, which has since gone viral, showcasing exactly which coins we are now currently all searching for.

In a the video Joel reveals the 2 coins to be the 2012 Red Poppy coin and the 2013 Purple Coronation coin which are now being sold for hundreds of dollars each.

He goes on to say that the increased demand for these rare coins is all due to the Queen’s passing.

“The market has been hot for these two $2 coins, which are the lowest minted coloured $2 coins in Australian history,” Mr Kandiah explained in the video.

Mr Kandiah tells us that these 2 coins are amongst the rarest ever minted in Australia with only 503,000 of The 2012 Red Poppy and a slightly larger 995,000 minted 2013 Purple Coronation $2 coins.
