Alongside the squad, the iconic Nelson Road stadium, (fondly known by supporters as the Dog Track) makes its return. Whether you are running drills or playing a rain-soaked derby under the floodlights, the familiar ground gives Richmond matches that unmistakable television atmosphere.
Abbie Hern, who stars in the series, shared her excitement about joining the digital squad:
“It was incredibly special the first time I got to play with AFC Richmond in the game, and it’s amazing to see myself as part of the Lady Greyhounds squad in EA SPORTS FC 27. Our fans have embraced Richmond as more than just a fictional club.”
Take Charge as Ted in Manager Career Mode
For players who prefer calling the shots from the dugout, Ted Lasso is back as a selectable manager.
In Manager Career Mode, you can step into Ted’s trademark jumper and guide AFC Richmond Women through full domestic and continental campaigns. EA has deepened the integration this year, adding dedicated cutscenes, touchline reactions, tailored social media story feeds, and specific club challenges.
It turns out managing a team requires a whole lot of heart, a bit of patience, and maybe an imaginary box of shortbread biscuits in the chairman’s office.
Fresh Rewards in Football Ultimate Team
If Football Ultimate Team (FUT) is your primary playground, you will not be left out. The partnership introduces themed Richmond Objectives throughout the season.
By completing in-game challenges, you can unlock:
