Disney has unveiled the full trailer for Freakier Friday, the much-anticipated sequel to the 2003 body-swap comedy Freaky Friday, starring Jamie Lee Curtis and Lindsay Lohan. Set to release in Australian cinemas on August 8, 2025, the film introduces a multigenerational twist, expanding the chaos and comedy that fans loved in the original.

In this sequel, Anna Coleman (Lindsay Lohan) is now a successful record label executive, preparing to marry Eric Davies (Manny Jacinto). Her teenage daughter Harper (Julia Butters) and soon-to-be stepdaughter Lily (Sophia Hammons) are less than thrilled about becoming sisters. A mysterious palm reading at Anna’s bachelorette party triggers a four-way body swap: Anna and her mother Tess (Jamie Lee Curtis) switch bodies with Harper and Lily. The teens, seeing an opportunity to derail the wedding, attempt to reunite Anna with her high school sweetheart Jake (Chad Michael Murray), leading to a series of comedic and heartfelt events.
