The magic of Christmas has officially arrived, with Australia Post once again welcoming children to hand-deliver their letters to Santa at participating Post Offices around the country.

From Monday 3 November through to Tuesday 24 December 2025, little believers can visit their local branch, give their letter directly to a friendly team member, and receive Santa’s reply on the spot — no stamps, no posting required.

Each child also takes home a festive surprise: a Pip the Koala Christmas ornament, perfect for hanging on the family tree.

How Santa Mail Works

It’s as easy as:

  1. Write your letter, wish list, or drawing
Santa loves it all — words, pictures, colours, and creativity. Kids are encouraged to express what’s on their wish list and share something they’re proud of this year.
  2. Head to your local Post Office
Simply hand the letter over to a staff member — no return address, postage, or letterbox needed.
  3. Receive the magic instantly
Children will be given a letter back from Santa right then and there, along with their special Pip the Koala keepsake.

If your child has already mailed their letter from home, they can still visit a Post Office to pick up Santa’s reply and their Pip ornament.
