Chris Cornell Dead at 52
Soundgarden and Audioslave frontman Chris Cornell has passed away at the age of 52.
In a statement by the Associated Press, his representative Brian Bumbery, said that he passed away while on tour Wednesday night in Detroit.
Bumbery has said that his death was "sudden and unexpected" and his wife and family are very shocked.
The family has said that they are working very closely with the medical examiner to determine the cause of death, and wish to have privacy during this difficult and shocking time.
Cornell had been touring with Soundgarden and had been tweeting about a sold out concert just hours before his death.
Other rock icons have paid tribute to the late rocker, with former Red Hot Chili Peppers and Jane's Addiction guitarist Dave Navarro being one of the first.

Soundgarden were formed in 1986 and were part of the Seattle grunge movement along with Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Alice In Chains, and many more.
