This year’s City2Surf could be the biggest ever.
We’re told over 2000 people have already registered for the annual fun run from the CBD to Nightcliff, and organisers are needing to extend its barriers due to the numbers.
Entries close at 3pm on Saturday, and participant numbers are tipped to continue to grow with last minute entrants deciding to have a shot.

An age-old question about the event has also finally been answered, with the track distance officially measured by the Association of International Marathons and Distance Races… It came in at 12.5km.
