Crackdown on student assaults across the NT

The number of assaults on Territory students in term 1 this year have almost doubled compared to last year.

Now the NT Government is taking action with a new school safety framework, launching today (April 14) in an effort to ensure behavioural expectations are understood by students, families, and the community.

Statistics released by the NT Government show that there were 32 student assaults in term one of 2025, with that number jumping to 52 assaults this year.
