A disused former youth detention centre in Berrimah is set to be knocked down with a tender released for the sites demolition.
The former Don Dale youth detention centre has been vacant since 2014.
A 2017 Royal Commission into the Protection and Detention of Children in the NT, found the centre on Tivendale Road was no longer fit-for-purpose.

Options for the future use of the site are currently being considered.
Demolition is expected to begin in July.
