Group arrested, including two teenagers, for alleged Millner break in and car thefts

Two teenagers are part of a group allegedly linked to a home break in, a car theft, and suspicious activity across Darwin.

Police responded to reports of a man allegedly breaking into a Millner home at 11:45pm Tuesday, where he then confronted the residents before fleeing on foot.

The man was seen running towards Bagot Road with three other people, and police along with the Dog Operations Unit put cordons in place to locate the group.

Among the group who were arrested includes two teenagers, age 14 and 16, who are now assisting police investigations into other alleged unlawful entries and car thefts in the area.

Earlier on in the night police recovered a stolen car and received several reports of people acting suspiciously around Nightcliff, Millner, Rapid Creek, Coconut Grove.

Police believe the group is linked to these incidents.
