A woman has died after allegedly being stabbed in a remote NT community.
Police received reports that a 45-year-old-woman had been stabbed in the back by a man and was unresponsive in Jilkminggan community – 146km south-east of Katherine – at 11:22pm Thursday night.
Upon arriving to the scene, paramedics conducted CPR, however the woman was declared dead at 12:35am.

A 46-year-old man has been arrested, and he is now helping police with inquiries into the alleged stabbing.
