A man has been arrested after allegedly breaking into a northern suburbs home and assaulting a resident.
Police responded to reports of the 29-year-old man allegedly breaking into a home on Trower Road Millner at 4:25am Wednesday.
It’s alleged the offender then assaulted a 23-year-old man living there, causing significant injuries, before fleeing the scene.

The victim has been conveyed to Royal Darwin Hospital and remains in a critical condition.
The 29-year-old man is currently in custody and police are continuing their investigations.
Police are urging anyone who has CCTV or has witnessed suspicious behaviour in the suburb or surrounding areas at that time to contact them on 131 444.
