A man is in a serious condition after being struck by a car on the outskirts of Darwin city.
Police attended the scene in Stuart Park at 11 o’clock Monday night, where the driver was travelling out of the city before hitting the pedestrian.
Traffic diversions were put in place near the scene just outside of the McDonalds in Stuart Park but have since been removed.
Police say the man was taken to hospital and the driver has been helping police with the details leading up to the incident.
Investigations remain ongoing and police are asking for anyone who witnessed the pedestrian strike to contact them immediately.
