Police on the hunt for offenders following car theft, Nightcliff

Authorities are calling on assistance from the public following an alleged car theft in Darwin.

It’s alleged the dark blue Great Wall ute was stolen from Nightcliff before being spotted by police at a service station in Jingili around 3.30 this morning.

After attempting to intercept the vehicle authorities say the ute swerved and hit the police car, before fleeing the scene.

No police were injured during the incident.

Anyone who may have spotted the car or has any information is being asked to contact authorities.
