New $2 Red Poppy Coin Sending Collectors into a Frenzy

The Australian Mint is releasing limited edition coins which marks 80 years since the end of World War II.

These new coins feature a wreath of red poppies which is a classic symbol of remembrance.

There are eight poppies on each coin, surrounded by sculpted leaves, each poppie marks a decade since the end of the biggest war in human history.

You’ll be able to score these in your change from this week, but don’t expect it to be easy!

Because collectors and scalpers are going absolutely wild for these coins, selling them online for over 10 times their value!

Only 200,000 of these $2 coins are hitting general circulation this week so if you want to guarantee one you can buy them too.
