A man has been arrested in Darwin after allegedly trying to assault people as they walked out of Mindil Beach Casino.
Authorities were called to the scene at 4am on Monday (March 9), before intercepting a vehicle of interest a short time later.
Police say they found a gun in the footwell of the car and allege the driver was under the influence of alcohol.

He’s been charged with multiple offences and faced court yesterday (March 10).
Superintendent Joe Carbone has praised the efforts of officers.
“This was fantastic work from the dog operation unit, along with general duties, who have removed an illegal firearm from our community.”
