NT Police are searching for a man who is on the run after allegedly breaking into a Karama home.
The man is accused of being part of a duo who allegedly broke into a home on Mahogany Crescent at around 8.20pm Tuesday, where two adults and four young children were inside.
The pair were allegedly stealing from the children’s money boxes when they were confronted by the father, who chased them to the lounge room and apprehended one of the men.
During this, police say the father received minor injuries during the incident and was spat on by one of the offenders.
Police attended the scene and arrested a 25-year-old man who is expected to be charged.
A second offender has been identified and efforts are underway to find him.
