A 40-year-old man is set to appear in court next month after allegedly brandishing a knife at paramedics in Nhulunbuy.

St John Ambulance were assisting a man with a sore foot when another man ventured out of the bush producing a knife and paramedics.

Police attended the location and arrested the alleged offender.
